The coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has had a profound impact on the world, causing loss of life, economic damage, and social disruption. Individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD) are prone to complications increased mortality related COVID-19. Efforts have been made increase understanding effects COVID-19 in individuals CKD. This paper aims gather discuss state-of-the-art CKD literature, involving early history COVID-19, immunological aspects (such as abnormalities neutrophilicand dendritic cells functions), mechanisms injury by SARS-CoV-2 (for example, viral tropism tissue direct cytotoxicity), clinical course consequences for (including transplant recipients), emerging treatments use Remdesivir, nirmatrelvir, monoclonal neutralizing antibodies) immunization population.
